The INE-Z928HD Audio/Video/Navigation (AVN) system is the first AVN system with a full 8-inch WVGA screen. Despite the large 8-inch screen, the chassis of the INE-Z928HD still fits into a standard 2-DIN opening.

The INE-Z928HD won a "2012 Innovations Design and Engineering Award" in the In-Vehicle Audio/Video category. This awards program is conducted by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and the winners are displayed at the annual International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), held each year in Las Vegas, NV. This award program, which launched in 1976, gives consumer technology manufacturers and developers an opportunity to have their newest products judged by a panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade press.

The INE-Z928HD is feature-packed. Audio features include Pandorae Internet Radio control and station creation from iPhonee, Android, and BlackBerry smartphone platforms; built-in HD Radio" compatibility with SiriusXM (separate tuner and subscription required), and iPode music playback from an iPode or iPhonee. The INE-Z928HD makes every source sound better with its 4-volt preamp outputs and easy car-specific sound setup.

The INE-Z928HD is supported by AlpineTMs Perfect FIT (Factory Integration Technology) installation kits. Installation kits for ten vehicle platforms, representing popular models that account for over 2 million annual U.S. vehicle sales, will be available (each kit sold separately). Besides being cosmetically matched for each vehicle platform, the kits also come with vehicle-specific wiring harnesses and installation accessories for direct plug-and-play connection to the INE-Z928HD.
