The Mitutoyo 547-520S digital thickness gauge, long throat ID-S body, is for taking precise thickness measurements of thin products such as sheet metal, plastic, or rubber workpieces. This gauge has a measurement range of 0 to 0.47" (0 to 12mm), a resolution of 0.0005", and an accuracy of + or - 0.001". The LCD screen displays in inches and metric units. The contact point and anvil for this gauge are flat and are constructed of ceramic for corrosion-resistance. This model has a throat of 120mm for measuring items where a greater depth is required. This gauge has a grip handle, thumb trigger, and spring-loaded spindle for taking accurate measurements.This model has a measuring force of 1.5 Newtons (N) or less. Additional functions include origin setting and direction changeover. The unit has a battery life of 20,000 hours. An SR-44 battery is included.
