With a reputation as one of the best ballet companies in the world, the Kirov, today known as the Mariinsky Ballet was founded in the 18th century and has produced generations of legendary dancers. Featuring many of their current lead dancers, including Larissa Lezhnina, Altynai Asylmuratova, Sergei Vikharev, Faroukh Ruzimatov, Konstantin Zaklinsky, Yelena Pankova, and more, the Kirovs reputation as standard bearers of the ballet canon compellingly presented in this production produced and directed by Thomas Grimm.
