Wells Vehicle Electronics' Diesel Glow Plug Controllers are designed and manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment manufacturers' specifications for performance and durability. Diesel Glow Plug Controllers manage the operation of the glow plugs and control the large current flow used to operate them. Glow plugs are used to pre-heat the combustion chamber when a cold Diesel engine is started. Symptoms of a malfunctioning or inoperative Diesel Glow Plug Controller include a no-start condition, hard starting or long crank time, cylinder misfire, and excessive exhaust particulate during warm-up. Not correcting a failed Diesel Glow Plug Controller places additional stress on charging and starting systems, contaminates motor oil with raw fuel, and increases harmful emissions.
