Alliteration Alphabet: A fun way to teach preliteracy skills to kids! was developed by two educators who needed to supplement the curriculums they were using in their early intervention, preschool/preschool disabled and autistic support classrooms. Alliteration Alphabet focuses the child s attention, not only to the letters and their sounds, but also to the beginning of the words. It teaches them to notice the common feature/sound of the word while making a real world connection with the illustrations. Emergent readers also use alliteration as a method for learning phonological awareness. Fun and engaging learning methods, like those outlined in Alliteration Alphabet, will create motivating educational moments for the children, while supporting their overall development in becoming a life-long learner. The two educators teach with a multi-sensory approach. Alliteration Alphabet models this approach for teaching the letters, their sounds and environmental connections using alliteration.
