GastroMycin is a unique blend of bismuth salts, licorice and other plant-based supportive nutrients. It is formulated to help maintain an environment within the lumen conducive to a healthy balance of microflora. This product is hypoallergenic.Licorice has many uses and is considered a tonic plant in many traditional medicinal systems. It has been used to support a healthy stomach lining, support healthy lung and respiratory function and promote a healthy adrenal response.Grapefruit seed extract is a highly concentrated fungal and microbial balancing extract. It exerts these effects within the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, promoting healthy microflora and gut ecology. An in vitro study using human skin fibroblast cells indicated that grapefruit seed extract promoted healthy gram-positive and gram-negative balance. Other studies support these findings, citing that grapefruit seed extract promotes a healthy environment when exposed to a wide range of bacterial biotypes.
