Product Description

At first blush, it's easy to mistake Castelli's Cross Sanremo Thermoflex Speedsuit as the same as the Sanremo Thermosuit, less sleeves and legs. But the two are different in ways that recommend the Thermosuit for long road rides in the cold and the Cross Speedsuit for short, hard efforts on the 'cross course in temperatures ranging as low as 32 degrees Fahrenheit. The key difference is in the fabrics used. The full-length Thermosuit is essentially a Gabba 2 jersey attached to a pair of Sorpasso Bib Tights. The Cross Sanremo Thermoflex Speedsuit, though, doesn't have the Windstopper elements of its longer cousin, because they'd be stifling in a cyclocross race. Instead, the Cross Speedsuit opts for the insulating properties, high breathability, and accommodating stretch of Thermoflex fleece. Given the fast, dynamic nature of 'cross, it's obvious why the breathability and stretch are more important than wind resistance. Nervato inserts under the arms reaffirm the Speeduit's commitment to breathability and free movement by providing more ventilation where you really need it and giving a degree of stretch that facilitates shouldering the bike and running. The fact that the shorts are attached means that you'll experience no discomfort from your shouldered bike sitting on top of obtrusive bib straps, and there won't no frigid gaps between shorts and jersey when you shoulder your machine. The one-piece construction still keeps each part of the tights in the right place, including the suggestively-titled KISS3 chamois insert. The KISS3's shape and elasticity accommodate the cocktail of running, jumping, and cycling inherent in 'cross, and the seamlessly tapering geograph...
