The boysenberry is a cross between a blackberry, a raspberry and a loganberry. Originally developed by Rudolph Boysen in Northern California, the boysenberry was first commercially cultivated by Walter Knott in Buena Park, California. Walter Knott began selling boysenberries to the public in 1932. Eventually the family's small restaurant grew into Knott's Berry Farm.
