The Cyalume 9-3012509 Cyflect Safety Belt is an adjustable white safety belt with photo-luminescent and reflective materials to help increase the visibility of pedestrians, runners, bicyclists, motorcyclists, road and traffic workers, and trainees in public places, military physical training (PT) environments, construction environments, and other dimly lit areas. It has a Velcro belt closure and comes with a Velcro swatch for the attachment of an insignia patch (sold separately). The water-resistant PVC (polyvinyl chloride) belt surface is covered with a prismatic retro-reflective material and hexagon-shaped photo-luminescent materials for visibility under most environmental conditions including fog and smoke. The zinc sulfide photo-luminescent material on the belt generates a yellow-green glow for up to 60 minutes and can recharge in about 10 seconds using most light sources, including headlights and flashlights, for continued visibility. The micro prismatic reflective material on the belt reflects the same amount of light in wet or dry conditions and from most angles for visibility. The belt has two Delrin (POM, polyoxymethylene) belt adjustment loops and fastens with a Velcro hook-and-loop closure for use as a belt or shoulder strap, and it can be wrapped over a backpack. It measures 2 inches wide x 5-1/2 feet long.Luminescent and reflective safety belts help increase the visibility of pedestrians, runners, motorcyclists, road workers, and others in dimly lit outdoor environments. They are used for a number of safety, industrial, and military applications.Cyalume Technologies manufactures chemiluminescent products for safety, industrial, and military applications under the ChemLight and SnapLight brands.
