This is not one of the cheap imitations that hardly fly. This is a high flying lantern that lasts for approximately 5 minutes. The colder it is the higher they fly, up to a mile high. The lantern is made of fire retardant paper and will not catch fire like the cheap imitations do. Once the fuel cell burns out the lantern falls harmlessly to the ground, usually miles away depending on the wind.
