This Brennan 6400-O-SS series adapter tube fitting is made of stainless steel 316, has a male JIC tube connection and a straight threaded male connection with an O-ring boss seal, and is suitable for use in high-pressure fuel delivery and fluid power applications. It is made of stainless steel 316 for higher strength and greater corrosion resistance than stainless steel 304 and has a maximum operating temperature range of -425 to +1,200 degrees F. This adapter tube fitting connects two tubes of different end types. It has a male Joint Industry Council (JIC) tube connection on one end for connecting to a flared tube, and a straight threaded male connection with an O-ring boss seal on the other for connecting to a female straight threaded tube. The O-ring boss seal provides a leak resistant seal when the nut is tightened over the tube. This JIC fitting is a type of flare fitting machined with a 37-degree flare seating surface, as defined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J514 standards.
