Product Description

The Fluke ScopeMeter series 120 is a handheld electrical test device that combines a two-channel digital oscilloscope for viewing electrical signals with a true RMS, manual- and auto-ranging digital multimeter on each input for measuring AC and DC voltage to 1,250V, resistance to 50M, capacitance to 500F, frequency to 50MHz for Fluke 123 models and 70MHz for Fluke 124 models, and duty cycle from 2% to 98%. The oscilloscope has a real-time sample rate of 25MS/s and a record length of 512 points per channel for acquiring waveforms. Automatic and cursor measurement parameters allow an in-depth analysis of waveforms, and edge and video triggers allow isolation of specific signals. The oscilloscope's advanced automatic triggering recognizes signal patterns and automatically optimizes triggering, timebase and amplitude settings. It has an optical port for attaching a Fluke ITP120 probe (sold separately) for external triggering. The 5,000-count, true RMS (root mean square) multimeter provides accurate readings when measuring linear or non-linear loads, regardless of waveform. It has two ranging modes: manual, which allows the user to select the operating range, and auto, which automatically selects the appropriate operating range. The relative function allows a measurement to be set as a reference value and displays subsequent measurements as a positive or negative deviation from that value, the touch-hold mode captures a stable reading, and the data-hold function freezes a reading on the display to aid documentation. A continuity buzzer confirms that the circuit conducts electricity, and a diode check detects whether a circuits diodes are working properly. Setups and screen shotsup to 10 for the 20MHz models and 20 for the 40MHz modelscan be stored in the internal memory. A TrendPlot chart recorder graphs readings from both the oscilloscope and multimeter functions of the minimum and maximum values over time. The recorder can be programmed from 15 seconds per division over 120 seconds to 2 days per division over 16 days. Additional specifications include a rise time of 17.5ns for the 20MHz models and 8.75ns for the 40MHz models, and various triggering features. The unit has a 2.83" monochrome LCD with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels for viewing waveforms and measurements, and a backlight for visibility in low light. A multimeter is an electrical testing tool for measuring multiple properties of an electrical circuit to verify proper operation or diagnose problems. The unit has an optically isolated RS-232 interface for connecting to a compatible printer for direct printing of data or to a PC for data storage. It operates on a rechargeable NiMH battery pack or a 120V, 60Hz AC adapter/charger (both included). When operating on battery power, it automatically shuts down after 30 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life and has a low-battery indicator that signals when the battery needs recharging. It meets European Standard (EN) 61010-1:2001, American National Standards Institute and International Society of Automation (ANSI/ISA) S82.02.01, CAN/CSA (Canadian Standards Association) C22.2 61010-1-04, and UL (Underwriters Laboratories) 61010-1-04 safety standards, and is rated for CAT (category) III installations to 600V, which covers equipment in fixed installations, such as switches in the fixed installation and some industrial equipment that is permanently connected to the fixed installation. It has CE (European Conformity) marking. It comes with a 40MHz high-impedance voltage probe (with Fluke 124 models only), a set of test leads with mini clips and alligator clips, a BNC-to-banana adapter, a rechargeable NiMH battery pack (installed), an AC adapter/battery charger, and a user manual. The Fluke ScopeMeter 120 series is available with and without the SCC120 kit. The kit includes FlukeView CD-ROM software for storing and analyzing data, an RS-232/USB adapter cable for connecting to a PC, and a hard carrying case for storing the unit and its accessories. The software is compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000 and beyond operating systems. SpecificationsWhat's in the Box?
