Intermec Duratherm labels and tags are the preferred facesheets for use with direct thermal printers. Providing excellent print quality and fair resistance to abrasion and some chemicals, Duratherm is offered in paper labels and tags as well as plastic label stocks for applications requiring moisture resistance. Special UV-resistant materials are also available. With no ribbon changes necessary, Duratherm labels require less operator monitoring. They are ideal for indoor applications where temperatures do not exceed 140degreesF (60degreesC). Most Duratherm products are scannable with visible light only, but infrared-readable labels and tags are also available.Duratherm II is a stocked, direct thermal product providing high-quality, cost-effective printing. It is available in tag construction. Also is available with specialty adhesives. It requires a visible-light scanning device for bar code applications.
