Product Description

Electric Imp - Imp Card Electric Imp makes it simple to bring the Internet to your devices. With imp connectivity you can empower your devices with intelligence, customization, and convenience. The possibilities are endless. The imp is a powerful, yet tiny, hardware module that runs the imp OS. The operating system provides the foundation to build advanced features and services for your devices, and it works with the imp Cloud (read about it below) to provide seamless and secure connectivity of your devices to software, third party services and external servers. The imp processor provides 128kB of user code space, ~70kB of user RAM, 6 I/Os that can support 2 SPI channels, 3 UART channels, and two I2C channels. In addition, the I/Os also provide GPIO, PWM and Analog input & output functionality. The imp module supports 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n WiFi protocols, and communicates over an industry-standard TLS-secured TCP connection. The imp has several low power modes including an ultra low power 6uA sleep mode with RTC and GPIO wake up and control capabilities. The imp hardware is FCC, IC, CE and C-tick certified. The best way to describe the WiFi range of the imp is that it is slightly better than an iPhone. Features External plastic casing in an SD card form factor (but is not compatible with standard SD devices)

Development boards are also available. Accessibility: Removable and user accessible Pins: 6 I/O: GPIO, PWM, Analog input & output, / SPI (2 channels), UART (3 channels), iC (2 channels) Antenna: Internal antenna (2.5dBi maximum antenna gain) Power: Ultra low power 7A sleep mode with RTC and GPIO wake and control of external PSU to maximize battery life in 2xAA/AAA configurations WiFi: 802.11b/g/n (20MHz, 1x1), +16.75dBm max output power, -97dBm typical sensitivity Minimum design requirements: SD socket and Atmel ID chip Core: ARM Cortex M3 core processor (32-bit) Ap
