The imp processor provides 128kB of user code space, ~70kB of user RAM, 6 I/Os that can support 2 SPI channels, 3 UART channels, and two I2C channels. The imp module supports 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n WiFi protocols, and communicates over an industry-standard TLS-secured TCP connection. The imp has several low power modes including an ultra low power 6uA sleep mode with RTC and GPIO wake up and control capabilities. The imp hardware is FCC, IC, CE and C-tick certified. The best way to describe the WiFi range of the imp is that it is slightly better than an iPhone.
