The Aludel was a medieval distillation vessel that was used by the alchemists from previous centuries in order to separate and purify volatile salts for the creation of alchemical substances. The main purpose of this device was the creation of what the sages termed "the alkahest", a substance which was said to have the power of reducing minerals and stones back to their first matter, so their impurities could be removed and thus they could become exalted to the highest form possible. In this video we have made our own Aludels using the Kinkajou bottle cutter. Follow along as we embark on this alchemical journey.
