That is the reason a chin up bar is not included in the front, as that could lead to a person walking into the bar or hitting their head when performing squats. Also, there would not be enough clearance above the rack to allow for proper chin ups without hitting your head on the basement ceiling. A possible alternative would be to place the olympic bar at the top hole, then use that for chin ups.
