This PT Coupling cam and groove type B coupler hose fitting is made of polypropylene, has a buna-n gasket, a male NPT threaded connection, and is suitable for use with water and coolants. This cam and groove-style fitting connects to a female National Pipe Taper (NPT) fitting, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. It is made of glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene for extra strength and is resistant to abrasion, corrosion and most chemicals. The buna-n (buna nitrile) gasket provides a leak-tight seal and has high tensile strength, abrasion, tear, and compression set resistance. This cam and groove coupler hose fitting complies with Commercial Item Description A-A-59326D for quick disconnect fittings and is suitable for applications such as water transport and wine transfer.Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other materials that resist corrosion, pressure, and wear. Hose fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, barbed, push-to-connect, dry disconnect, and others including those based on internationally-accepted specifications.
