The 1100 aluminum wire has a soft temper, an unpolished (mill) finish, and a standard tolerance, and meets American Society for Testing and Materials International ASTM B211 specifications. The 1100 aluminum alloy provides good corrosion resistance and thermal and electrical conductivity, and is light weight. The material is nonmagnetic and can be cold worked for increased strength and rigidity. The soft temper, also known as annealed, bends readily with minimal force and holds the shape.Aluminum and aluminum alloys are lightweight compared to steel, brass, and copper, and have high strength-to-weight ratios.
