Product Description

Soy sauce is an integral part of every Chinese meal. Our sauce dispenser is a standard for Chinese kitchens from Shanghai to San Francisco. Cast in a durable dishwasher and microwave safe porcelain and hand painted with the traditional "Rice Pattern" cobalt blue design, it's the proper way to add some Asia to your table. The decanter has a subtle pattern embossed on its surface. The pattern is created by grains of rice that are left in the porcelain mold before the object is fired. In the kiln the rice disintegrates and leaves tiny, almost translucent, windows in the porcelain body. It is a simple production method that has elevated Chinese dinnerware from the plain to the ornate for centuries.
